How to Send Your Laptop
Not local to Canberra? No problem. We accept mail-in laptop repairs and data recovery from anywhere in Australia. Follow the steps below to send your device safely.
How the Mail-In Process Works
Contact Us First
Before sending your device, get in touch by phone or email. We'll log your job, confirm the fault details, and give you a reference number to include in the parcel.
Package Your Device Safely
Wrap your laptop securely in bubble wrap or foam padding. Place it in a sturdy double-wall cardboard box with at least 5 cm of padding on all sides. Never use soft satchels or envelopes.
Include a Note
Place a printed or handwritten note inside the parcel with your full name, phone number, email address, a brief description of the fault, and your job reference number.
Send with Tracking
Use a tracked and insured shipping service such as Australia Post Express or StarTrack. We recommend insuring the parcel for the replacement value of your device.

What to Include in the Parcel
Place a written or printed note inside the box with the following details:
- Your full name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- Your laptop brand and model (e.g. Dell XPS 15, HP Spectre, Lenovo ThinkPad)
- A brief description of the fault or issue
- Your job reference number (provided when you contact us first)
Safe Packaging Tips
Proper packaging is essential to ensure your laptop arrives safely. Follow these guidelines before sealing your box.
Do not use soft satchels or padded envelopes — they do not provide adequate protection for fragile electronics and we cannot accept responsibility for transit damage caused by inadequate packaging.
Use a double-wall cardboard box wherever possible
Wrap the laptop in at least two layers of bubble wrap
Remove the battery if it is removable and pack it separately
Fill empty space in the box with packing peanuts or crumpled paper
Seal all edges with strong packing tape
Do not include power adapters or cables unless specifically requested
Write 'FRAGILE – ELECTRONICS' clearly on the outside of the box
Keep your tracking number until the job is complete
